Understandings between Mineral Resources Co. and Local Communities

The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company has reached understandings between companies working in the field of mining and local communities in Abu Hamad and Berber localities. The meetings discussed all issues related to the local community’s share of social responsibility.
Meanwhile, the mineral resources delegation met with the Governor of the River Nile State, Mohamed Al-Badawi Abdul-Majed, to discuss all issues related to the field of mining.
The Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, Mohammad Taher Omar, explained that the visit aims to inspect the progress of work in the mining sector to increase production and maximize revenues. He said that the visit achieved its goals in addressing the problems between the local community and some mining companies, pointing to addressing the problems between the local community of Abu Hamad locality and Mining Company.
Taher said that the issues that were agreed upon between the company and the local community in the Berber and Abu Hamad localities will have repercussions on increasing production and stabilizing work in the mining activity in the state.
