Al-Kabashi Inspects Al-Faw Axis and Appoints New Commander For Gezira Operations

On Sunday, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lieutenant General Shams Al-Din al-Kabashi, inspected the progress of military operations in the Al-Faw axis, east of the Gezira State, amid news that Lieutenant General Adam Haroun, who appeared with Al-Kabashi, was assigned to take over operations in the Al-Faw military region.
Al-Kabashi arrived at the front lines in Al-Faw locality in Gedaref state, on Sunday, accompanied by the governor of Gedaref and the deputy director of the General Intelligence Service, Mohammad Abbas Al-Labib.
Kabashi received an enlightenment from the Commander of the Eastern Military Region, Major General Mohammad Al-Amas, about the overall security situation in the region. Kabashi praised the harmony and high fighting spirit of the forces stationed – according to the Sovereignty Council’s information -.
Pictures broadcast by the Sovereign Council media showed that the Commander of the Wadi Saydna Military Region, Lieutenant General Adam Haroun, was among Kabashi’s companions on his visit to the Al-Faw Military Region.
Sources confirmed, according to Sudan Tribune, that Adam Haroun will assume command of the Al-Faw military region, which is entrusted with restoring the army’s control over Gezira State from the Rapid Support Forces.
