500 Million Pounds for Civil Service Pensioners in Gedaref

The Director General of the Ministry of Finance in Gedaref, Najat Ahmed Ibrahim, has announced the payment of benefits and arrears to the state’s pensioners, amounting to 500 million pounds, representing 14 months’ arrears from which more than 500 workers benefited. This is in appreciation of the war conditions and the economic situation and in confirmation of the Ministry of Finance’s commitment towards the pensioners who gave the flower of their youth and their contribution to the civil service.
She stressed the Ministry’s keenness and commitment to all the requirements and entitlements of workers and those in the government sector, and the continuation of payment and disbursement operations, especially the first semester, through the state’s resources and their employment.
For his part, the Director of the Workers’ Compensation Department at the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Manpower in Gedaref State, Qais Mohammad Al-Bashir, revealed that the entitlements for long-term service pensioners included 14 months of arrears. More than five hundred workers benefited from the alternative entitlement in cash and the transfer of luggage for the first installment last year to more than twenty-five institutions in the state. In addition to the entitlement and end-of-service benefit for pensioners, the second installment for transporting the belongings of pensioners, and the cash alternative.
