The Arab Summit Calls on Army and Militia to Engage in Initiatives to resolve crisis

The announcement of the Arab League summit in Bahrain called on the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to engage directly in initiatives to resolve the crisis. The Summit also urged adherence to the Jeddah Agreement to reach a ceasefire in Sudan.
On Thursday, the Arab Summit expressed solidarity with Sudan in preserving its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity and preserving the Sudanese state institutions, at the forefront of which are the armed forces. It called on Arab leaders to commit to implementing the Jeddah Declaration in order to reach a ceasefire that guarantees the opening of humanitarian relief paths and the protection of civilians.
The Arab Summit urged the Sudanese government and the RSF Militia to engage seriously and effectively with initiatives to resolve the crisis, including the Jeddah Platform, neighboring countries and others, in order to end the ongoing conflict, restore security and stability in Sudan, and end the plight of the Sudanese people.
