Agreement Between Government and Al-Hilu Movement to Deliver Aid to Both Parties Areas.
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
On Friday, the Sudanese government and the SPLM-N, led by Al-Hilu, reached an agreement to pass humanitarian aid through areas controlled by both parties.
The head of the SPLM-N delegation, Amir Hassan Abdul Hamid Al-Nur, confirmed in a press statement that the two parties agreed on the paths and delivery of humanitarian aid. He pointed out that there had been a major breakthrough in the negotiations, after the army and the SPLM-N made concessions.
He explained that the government responded to the vision of the SPLM, and the SPLM will respond on Saturday. The movement demands that humanitarian aid be delivered to those in need in all regions of Sudan, refusing to limit negotiations to delivering relief to the two regions only. The number of people in need of aid in areas controlled by the SPLM in the Nuba Mountains reaches 700,000 people.
