Italian Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, denied a leak about the Merengue lineup in the Champions League final, and after reports stated that Ancelotti had settled on fielding Belgian Thibaut Courtois in Real Madrid’s starting lineup against Borussia Dortmund in the final match, Ancelotti spoke with Andriy Lunin, Real Madrid’s goalkeeper, in a manner personally, he denied that he had made this decision.
“It is not true that I have already made the decision. I want you in the best condition during the final match, whether to play 90 minutes or 10 minutes or just to support from outside the lines without you we would not have reached Wembley.” Ancelotti told the Ukrainian goalkeeper.
It is noteworthy that Andriy Lunin overtook Kepa Arrizabalaga and became Real Madrid’s main goalkeeper during Courtois’ injury, and he presented outstanding levels that led the Merengues to win La Liga and reach the Champions League final.
