Farmers Gezira Scheme said that the harvest of the “cotton and wheat” crops failed almost completely or was seized by the Rapid Support Militia (RSF), amid expectations that the summer season will fail.
Alaa Al-Din Al-Bilawi, a farmer in the south of Gezira, said that the harvest of the cotton crop failed due to the closure of the ginneries, indicating that as a result the crop would be exposed to damage on the ground.
