Gezira Begins Implementation of Alternative Energy Projects

The Gezira state government has inaugurated two solar energy plants in the city of Al-Karimit and the village of “Kamul Noumak” as part of the state’s efforts to combat thirst and provide alternative energy with water sources.
The acting governor of Gezira, Al-Taher Ibrahim Al-Khair, affirmed his government’s determination to provide clean water to all residents of the state, indicating that the march of the development train will not stop no matter the extent of the conspiracy and targeting, praising the struggles of the people of Al-Karimit and the village of Kamel Noumak in answering the call of national duty and competing to participate in the Battle of Dignity, stressing that the productive people of the countryside and its fighting youth are the asset of the Sudanese nation.
While the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Abu Bakr Abdullah Mohammad, announced the readiness of his ministry to implement alternative energy projects using water sources, numbering 110 stations, before the tenth of next June, indicating that the solar energy station in the city of Al-Karimit is considered one of the largest stations, as it produces 68 kilowatts with a high productivity of water to meet the needs of population density in the city of Al-Karimit and that the solar energy station in the village of Kamal Noumak is considered the ideal model in the efforts of the governor of Gezira State to solve the problem of thirst, indicating that his ministry is responsible for treating the old station.
