Roads and Bridges Prepare for Rainfall Relief

The joint meeting between the Roads and Bridges Authority of Khartoum State and Karari locality has directed to make the necessary arrangements to harness the capabilities and resources available for this year’s rainfall work, including cleaning drains, removing debris, and raising protective gears to mitigate the effects of the rainfall of 2024.
The director of the authority, Engineer Mukhtar Omar Saber, said that the Authority had drawn up a preliminary plan and begun implementing some work for the benefit of the arrangements for the rainfall of this year, and stressed the necessity of joint work between the state’s institutions to reduce the cost and employ mechanisms in a way that ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of operation.
While the Executive Director of Karari Locality, Mohammad Mustafa, confirmed that the locality will put all its technical and logistical capabilities to carry out the rainfall work this year.
It was also ensured that a joint room was formed to follow up these works
The need to establish arrangements to review markets and open spaces was emphasized.
