The League of Arab States, at its summit at the presidential level held recently in Manama, affirmed that any external support, whether political, financing, supplying weapons, or recruits, provided to irregular rebel militias operating parallel to the regular forces inside Sudan is considered consistent with the Arab League’s resolutions on combating terrorism as tantamount to Support for terrorism must be stopped immediately.
In its resolutions, the Arab Summit stressed its full solidarity with Sudan in preserving its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity and rejecting interference in its internal affairs, considering that the current crisis is an internal matter. The Summit’s resolutions emphasized preserving the institutions of the Sudanese state, at the forefront of which are the armed forces, preventing their collapse, and preventing any external interference in Sudanese internal affairs.
The Arab Summit urged the full implementation of the Jeddah Declaration, including the eviction of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) from civilian areas, housing and service facilities, and the implementation of confidence-building measures in preparation for reaching a permanent cessation of hostilities.
