The newspaper “Africa Intelligence” said that the European Union distanced itself from the Coordination of Democratic Civilian Forces “Taqaddum” due to its relationship with the Rapid Support militia (RSF).
The newspaper revealed that, in recent weeks, a number of Western embassies have distanced themselves from the head of the Taqaddum Coordination, Abdullah Hamdouk, due to his ties to the UAE, “where he lives,” which has been accused of arming the RSF Militia, and the close ties that a number of Taqaddum members enjoy with the militia and its leaders. It added, “This led to the belief in Washington and Brussels that he is not the ideal partner to unify the civil front.”
The newspaper said, “Since his appointment, American diplomatic envoy Tom Perriello has been careful not to appear in public with Hamdouk because of his relations with the RSF, as well as the former Sudanese Minister of Justice, Nasr Al-Din Abdul Bari, the lawyer, who studied at the prestigious Harvard and Georgetown universities and is now a prominent member of the… “Taqaddum,” he is no longer received by US officials in Washington, who until recently was sitting at the table of the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Mary Catherine or Molly V, in Brussels as well,” she continued. Hamdouk’s entourage is now viewed with a bleak outlook, as the European Union has distanced itself from “Taqaddum” since the beginning of the year.”
