Al-Gadaref Announces Launch of Export Directly

The Acting Governor of Gedaref, Major General (R) Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, and the Minister of Trade, signed the border trade agreement in the state, and at the same time announced the launch of procedures for exports directly from the dry port in Gedaref.
The governor of Gedaref said during his address at the signing ceremony that the agreement will provide great opportunities for the state, stressing his government’s keenness to develop trade with neighboring Ethiopia in a way that benefits the citizens of Gedaref in particular, the Sudanese people in general, the Ethiopian people, and the residents of the Ethiopian regions neighboring Gedaref.
The governor announced the launch of exports from Gedaref directly, by opening trade offices in the state, and said that his government will work to facilitate procedures through the single window. The governor indicated that conducting export operations from the dry port in Gedaref will create job opportunities and increase the state’s income.
