Guterres: The humanitarian Nightmare is Worsening in Sudan

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has said that the worsening humanitarian nightmare in Sudan, which is entering its second year, with increasing hostilities in El Fasher, opens a worrying new chapter in this conflict.
He stressed the need for a concerted global push for a ceasefire, followed by a comprehensive peace process to end the bloodshed in Sudan.
Guterres made it clearer in his speech before a Security Council session to discuss strengthening the role of African countries in confronting global security and development challenges
