The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, has linked the rise in the value of the dollar to the rise in medicines prices.
At the same time, he stated that there were complaints about the lack of medicine due to the withdrawal of many companies that manufacture and supply the medicine from service, and he said that the rise in the value of the dollar’s circulation contributed to the rise in medicine prices.
The meeting, which was completed yesterday, decided to take urgent measures to begin providing medicine through the Revolving Medicine Fund, and Hamza announced the state’s support for medicine in the amount of 200 million pounds and a serious effort to find other sources of funding.
The governor said that the goal of the meeting is to develop a sustainable pharmaceutical policy to ensure sources of obtaining medicine, financial financing, preservation of medicine, and methods of distribution and dispensing.
