Arrangements to Develop and Upgrade Damazin Airport

The Governor of the Blue Nile Region, Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, has called on all investors to participate in the wheel of investment in the region, and revealed arrangements to develop and modernize Al-Damazin Airport to enable investors to implement all their investments.
During his meeting in his office (Tuesday) with the delegation of the Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Duty Free Shops, headed by Dr. Omar Mohamed Sheikh El-Din, Managing Director, the Governor expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Free Shops and expressed his sincere contribution to supporting the wheel of development and stability in the region. He stressed the keenness of the regional government and its full commitment to providing the necessary conditions for appropriate to enable investors to benefit from the natural components of the region, stressing the growing role of the Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Free Markets initiative in securing goods and needs and providing more job opportunities in the region.
For his part, the Managing Director of the Sudanese Company for Free Markets and Free Zones, Omar Sheikh El-Din, explained that the visit aims to identify the region’s capabilities to benefit from them in the field of free zones and free markets in preparation for establishing a free zone in the region. He revealed that the coming days will witness the signing of the agreement between the regional government and the company in the field of free zones and free markets. He added in press statements that the meeting reviewed the company’s projects in the field of opening sales outlets in the region, in addition to working on establishing a specialized exhibition in the region. He praised the positions of the governor of the region and his government and expressed their keenness to support the company’s projects in the region.
