Measures to Control Commodity Prices in Gedaref

The Acting Governor of Gedaref, Major General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, has issued a state decision stipulating the formation of the technical committee to control consumer goods and petroleum products in the state of Gedaref, headed by Police Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ibrahim Abdullah and Police Major Siddiq Saad Farouk as a member, rapporteur and other members. The tasks and powers of the committee are to fully supervise and control the distribution of consumer goods and petroleum materials within the borders of the state only, complete control over the flow of consumer goods and petroleum materials, issuing permits for the movement of their distribution within the state’s localities only, in addition to forming similar committees in the localities to supervise the import of consumer goods and petroleum materials and their non-leaving of the locality. The decision also assigned the committee other tasks.
