Milan negotiates with Portuguese Fonseca to succeed Pioli

Milan club officials have reached an agreement with Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca, currently the French coach of Lille, to take over as coach of the Rossoneri next season. Fonseca will sign a two-year contract with Milan, with an option to extend the contract for another year, explaining that the net salary is about two and a half million euros and does not increase unless activated extension option. Milan announced the departure of its coach Stefano Pioli after the end of the current season, after he had been in charge of the first team since October 2019, leaving the team after nearly five years.
