The Vice President of the Democratic Unionist Party (origin), Jaafar Al-Sadiq Mohammad Osman Al-Mirghani has, confirmed that the party did not receive an invitation to participate in the Forces of Taqaddum conference, and did not participate in this forum.
He stressed the party’s appreciation for the efforts of constructive dialogue and building democratic civil institutions in the country, and its rejection of any attempts to undermine the unity of the national entities and disrupt them, as happened to the party.
In a press statement, Al-Mirghani welcomed the initiative proposed by Egypt to hold a meeting during the next month, and relied on the Egyptian role in strengthening the political and democratic process in Sudan, indicating that they will join this forum with full enthusiasm, stressing the importance of providing platforms for serious and constructive dialogue.
Al-Mirghani expressed the party’s concern about reports of attempts to impose foreign wills on the country, recalling the dire consequences of imposing foreign agendas in the past, which led to heavy losses, including the loss of part of the homeland more than a decade ago, and the outbreak of the largest rebellion in the country’s history. last year.
He called for respecting the specificity of the Sudanese situation, respecting the remaining state institutions, and expanding the base of participation.
Al-Mirghani stressed that the country is going through exceptional and very difficult circumstances, which requires the combined efforts of all its people and living forces to overcome this ordeal and work to build a better future for the homeland and the citizen.
He renewed the commitment of the Unionist Party to participate constructively in any efforts that are in the interest of the Sudanese people and achieve their aspirations towards stability, development and decent living, away from any external interference or pressure.
He also called on all political and civil forces to give priority to the higher national interest, to overcome narrow differences, to work in a spirit of partnership and cooperation to end the current crisis, and to build a modern, democratic civil state that preserves the country’s sovereignty and independence.
