The European Union has decided on Manchester United’s position on participating in the Europa League competitions next season, despite the restrictions imposed on clubs that belong to the same owner. Manchester United and Nice, which are owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos company, have qualified for the Europa League next season, and the European Union has decided the updated version of UEFA’s integrity laws stipulates that if two teams belonging to the same ownership qualify for a European Championship, only one club will be allowed to enter. United has obtained European Union approval to participate in the same competition with Nice according to certain conditions, although this may be an exceptional case, Nice will be informed that the French club must be managed by a committee approved by the European Football Association.
