Experts: The return of the electronic system is the beginning of the recovery of the banking sector

The Secretary-General of the Chambers of Commerce, Atbara Seif El-Din Moqled, considered the decision of the Central Bank of Sudan to resume work with the electronic export system as a recovery for the banking system after the war affected the banking system and led to the loss of the balance of the Central Bank.
He said in his speech to Al-Ahdath that the implementation of the paper system was for the purpose of facilitating incoming and outgoing operations, which were linked to large information data in the central banking system, and that information was lost during the beginning of the war, which forced the state to return to the paper system so that the issue would not affect incoming and outgoing operations.
Pointing out that the step to restore the electronic export system will save a lot of time and help speed up the completion of banking transactions, which contributes to covering any gap as quickly as possible, and also helps positively in the movement of the economy and the circulation of capital. He said that paper dealing faces difficulties and requires a number of employees to complete the work, and he stressed that the electronic system helps facilitate obtaining information, in addition to the effectiveness of transactions, protecting incoming and outgoing data and information, in addition to simplifying procedures. He said that secure systems are better than paper ones, reiterating that returning to the electronic system is the beginning of banking recovery and economic and commercial activity.
While the economic expert, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Fathi, stressed the importance of resuming work with the electronic system, and said that working with the paper system was due to the repercussions of the war, and the purpose of running export procedures and facilitating exporters so that there are no obstacles that prevent the flow of Sudanese exports and hinder the completion of exporters’ procedures, and he added in his speech to (Al-Ahdath) “The return of the electronic system contributes to closing the doors to wasting time and resources.” He said that the electronic system contributes to reducing effort and time, boosting Sudanese exports, and linking all ministries and agencies concerned with exports, pointing to the procedures for dealing with the technical system in the safe states, especially the city of Port Sudan, which controls approximately 85% of Sudanese exports, as an administrative capital, provide means of communication and stable electrical current. The Central Bank has promised to overcome all difficulties to resume the electronic system.
