Pledges to bridge Food Gap

Assistant General Manager of Projects at Zadna Company, Maj.Gen. Adel Hassan Hamida, affirmed
that the company’s agricultural projects will bridge any gap that may occur in grains due to the war, and said (there will be no famine) and the company is capable, with its future plans, of achieving the slogan of Sudan as the world’s food basket.
Adel downplayed the US sanctions imposed on the company and said that the company works in open agriculture and has US partnerships (Pharma Company for planting ten thousand pivots) as well as a company in Texas for animal production projects.
He explained that the sanctions were intended to hit the country’s economy because the company works in infrastructure at the level of Sudan, and added that the decision targets Sudan and starves the people.
He said, “We are working on legal paths to refute the decision.”
Zadna was considered one of the battle lines as one of the effective economic arms, pointing out that the battle has a military line, a political line, an economic line and a media line. He said that any negligence in any of the lines affects the course of the battle.
New Projects
He revealed the company’s major projects, the most important of which is Zadi One, that is being implemented in partnership with the USA and India. He explained that they have carried out many treatments after the project was affected by the outbreak of war.
He added that the company has established a gold city in Atbara, which includes factories and a market, which helps stop smuggling operations.
He called on the security services and the ministries of minerals and finance to do what is importance to complete the project, leading to the establishment of the proposed gold refinery in Atbara.
He pointed out that the establishment of such projects achieves two goals: stabilizing the exchange rate and providing food supplies.
