Dan Friedkin, owner of the Italian club Roma, expressed his desire to buy the English club Everton, after the collapse of a deal with his investment group.
Current Everton owner Farhad Moshiri was committed to an exclusive agreement with the US-based company until the end of last month, and Friedkin is one of six parties interested in signing Moshiri, who is considering his options. Two local Liverpool businessmen, Andy Bale and George Downing, are also said to be in the process and are keen to take over the club, and that John Textor, part-owner of Crystal Palace, who also owns Lyon, is another candidate but would need to dispose of his 45% stake in the London-based club first, unlike some companies interested in buying the club.
