Northern State Prepares to address Investment Projects issues

Governor of the Northern State, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Investment, Abdeen Awadallah, affirmed the continuation of his government’s efforts and interest in resolving issues facing agricultural investment projects and developing a common vision to advance agricultural and animal production and processing industries.
During his meeting with the Minister of Investment and Industry in charge of the Northern state, on Sunday, he appreciated the efforts of agricultural investment projects and their continuous support for the production process and the war effort and the success of the previous winter season and the high productivity it achieved despite the exceptional situation the country is going through and the high production inputs.
For his part, the Acting Minister of Investment and Industry, Omar Ali Saleh, revealed the ministry’s arrangements for holding a workshop on fees imposed on investment products, which was scheduled for Tuesday in the government secretariat hall.
He said that the workshop targets a number of investors and relevant parties and aims to discuss the issue and come up with clear recommendations and outcomes with everyone’s agreement and satisfaction, noting that the Ministry of Investment and Industry is keen to resolve investment project issues, particularly energy, and open paths for agricultural investment projects, paths for sponsors, and fees imposed on investment products in appreciation and recognition of the support and contributions of investment project owners to the armed forces and the battle of dignity, in addition to their continuous support for the state’s various programs and projects.
Discussions were held with the Northern Governor about the results of his visit to Merowe Locality, Saturday, and his inspection of industrial investments in the locality, especially the Nile Poultry Factory, in addition to enlightening him on the work of the Inspection, Evaluation and Follow-up Committee formed by the Ministry of Investment and Industry to tour industrial and service investment projects in the state’s various localities.
