Health and Animal Resources announce cooperation to combat diseases

The Ministries of Health and Animal Resources stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation in the areas of combating common diseases and laboratories and research in relation to One Health programs, in addition to continuing cooperation between the two ministries and relevant regional and international organizations with regard to caring for human and animal health.
The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, said after the meeting held on Monday that the meeting discussed common issues, as he was reassured about the health status of animals in the country, pointing out that the issue of supply was addressed in terms of manufacturing and import, while it was proposed to form an emergency and operations center in the ministry to implement activities, pointing out the importance of establishing a cold chain, stressing joint cooperation for the sake of human and animal health.
It was proposed to add membership from Animal Resources to the Committee for Receiving Veterinary Medicines and Providing
Medical Consumables with the rest of the relevant authorities represented by the National Council for Medicines and Poisons, Customs, Specifications and Security Authorities.
