Fuel Delivery system via pipelines from Atbara
Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah
On Thursday, the Minister of Energy and Oil, Mohi El-Din Naiem , inaugurated in Atbara the delivery and receipt system for petroleum products coming from Port Sudan via pipelines, adding that it is one of the stations of the Sudanese Pipelines Company to supply distribution companies with diesel and gasoline products instead of Port Sudan in the past.
The Minister of Energy and Oil said that the damned war destroyed the oil sector and pipelines, but the state works for peace as it works for war, and this project is a model for reconstruction during war.
He pledged to continue reconstruction and open projects one after the other until Sudan enjoys a stable oil supply, explaining that this project contributes to reducing costs, controlling distribution, and shortening distances for tankers, which contributes to reducing the effort on the Port Sudan-Atbara road, and is one of the oil economies.
Mohamed Saleh Osman, General Manager of the Sudanese Pipelines Company, said that the project contributes to increasing storage and operational capacity, relieving bottlenecks, and serving a number of states, including the River Nile the Northern State, and Khartoum.
