(Amnesty) calls on Biden to take decisive steps to protect civilians in Sudan
Sudan Events – Agencies
Amnesty International called on US President Joe Biden to take decisive steps to protect civilians in Sudan, including speaking personally about Sudan and condemning the atrocities.
Amnesty International addressed the White House with a letter and a press announcement via the Washington Post, signed by its partners “Humanity United, Human Rights Watch, and Refugees International” and carrying more than 15,000 signatures calling on President Biden to speak publicly about Sudan.
Amnesty urged Biden to pressure the leaders who are fueling the conflict by violating the arms embargo imposed on Darfur, and to prioritize life-saving assistance to respond to the rapidly growing humanitarian crisis.
