Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni received in the capital, Kampala, on Saturday, the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council TSC Malik Aqar, as a special envoy of the President of the Sovereignty CouncilTSC , Commander-in-Chief of the SAF Lt.Gen.Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, to the Ugandan President.
The Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin Al-Fadil, explained in a press statement that the Vice President of the TSC conveyed to Museveni a message from the President of the Sovereignty Council regarding developments in the situation in Sudan and the recent Security Council resolution regarding the city of Al-Fasher, in which it clearly called on the rebel Rapid Support Forces RSFbto lift the siege on the city of Al-Fasher.
He said that the Vice President of the TSC informed the Ugandan President of Sudan’s attitude on what is happening in the international and regional arena and the proposed platforms, most notably Jeddah platform, and that the countries supporting the rebellion must stop their support to achieve peace in Sudan until stability is achieved in the region.
The Vice President of the TSC arrived in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, on Saturday morning, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin Al-Fadil.
