Decrease in Prices of Sacrificial Sheep on the second day of Eid

Sudan Events ‘our of the livestock markets in Shendi locality, River Nile state, revealed a decline and decrease in the prices of sacrificial sheep (Monday), the second day of Eid al-Adha, compared to their prices on the Day of Arafat and the first day of Eid.
Livestock owners and brokers justified the decline due to the decline in demand for livestock, and acquitted themselves of causing the exaggeration in prices.
Bakri al-Hadi attributed the reason for the increase in livestock prices to the high cost of raising livestock after the rise in feed prices, in addition to the high cost of transportation from production areas to markets due to the war and the change in livestock routes, noting that most of the sheep in the Shendi market are produced by Shendi locality with all its ribs.
The prices of large sheep decreased from SDGs 600,000 ,to SDGs 500,000 , while the price of medium-sized sheep decreased from SDGs 400,000to SDGs 350,000, while the price of the cheapest sacrificial animal recorded SDGs 280,000 compared to its previous price of SDGs 310,000.
Bakri revealed that demand this year is weak compared to the previous year.
