In solidarity with citizens and residents coming from all localities of Khartoum State, implemented, on Sunday, with the Turkish IHH organization, Eid Joy program for citizens by providing sacrificial meat to families most affected by the war by distributing 250 heads of calves, in the presence of the Governor of Khartoum Ahmed Osman Hamza, members of the Khartoum state Security Affairs Coordination Committee, and the Director General of the Ministry of Social Development, Siddiq Farini.
Governor of Khartoum praised the positions of the Turkish government and people in supporting the Sudanese people for a long time, and said that Turkish support for Sudanese citizens did not stop throughout the war period, which affirmed the depth and strength of joint relations and mutual appreciation.
He added, “We will not forget their support for us.” He said that the step taken by the Turkish organization to bring joy is a valuable gift to citizens who suffered from the ravages of war that caused them to lose everything they owned and were subjected to theft, looting, and displacement. He added that the feelings of the Turks towards the Sudanese will remain a place of appreciation and praise throughout history.
For his part, Director General of the Ministry of Social Development, Siddiq Freni, said that the Turkish IHH organization is one of the leading organizations that has been working with his ministry in the field of work for many years, particularly the poor, the needy and orphans in the state’s localities, in addition to the hospices, the disabled, shelters and those affected by the war, affirmed that there is full coordination between his ministry and the Turkish organization to reach the target groups.
In the context, the representative of the Turkish IHH organization, Osman Al-Jili Mohamed Idris, affirmed that the program aims to distribute 400 heads of calves across Sudan, of which 250 heads have been allocated to Khartoum State, which is experiencing exceptional circumstances, explaining that the sacrificial meat program is an annual program that the organization has been providing.
