On Sunday, Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza performed Eid al-Adha prayers with those stationed on the front lines in the presence of members of the Khartoum state Security Affairs Coordination Committee, Assistant Director-General of Khartoum State Police, Lt.Gen. Ibrahim Shamin, representative of the Commander of Wadi Sayedna Military area Maj.Gen.Amir Suleiman, and Director of Khartoum State Security Authority, Acting Maj.Gen.Ahmed al-Tayeb Ambega, Director of the Specialized Department, Brig.Gen.Ibrahim Hamid Suleiman.
They were received by Maj.Gen.Abu Bakr al-Hafyan, Commander of the Special Forces.
The Governor of Khartoum said that despite the sorrows experienced by the Sudanese people as a result of the violations and crimes of the militia against citizens, killing, looting and displacement, victory is coming and the people’s joy will be complete soon.
The Governor congratulated the forces participating in the Battle of Dignity and the citizens on Eid al-Adha, and said that with determination and resolve, victory will be achieved and citizens will return to their homes.
The Governor saluted the Special Forces that carried out operations that instilled terror and fear in the enemy and are still holding the initiative.
He also appreciated the civilian support provided by the armed forces to citizens.
For his part, Maj. Gen.Abu Bakr Al-Hafyan, Commander of the Special Forces, congratulated all military regions and movements deployed throughout Sudan on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, and said that victory is coming, and appreciated the cohesion of the people with their armed forces.
In the same context, the Governor of Khartoum, accompanied by members of the Khartoum state Security Affairs Coordination Committee, extended congratulations to the Commander of the Wadi Sayedna Military area, Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Al-Jali, and the commanders and officers of the military area.
The Governor appreciated all those present in the forward movements as they hold the initiative, while Maj. Gen.Al-Jali commended the joint cooperation between the area’ commandment and Khartoum state Security Affairs Coordination Committee in securing the state according to the emergency plan.
