High wheat Productivity in Many states

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Abu Bakr Al-Bushra, revealed that a number of projects and states achieved high wheat productivity.
He said that the Halfa Agricultural Corporation achieved high wheat productivity during the 2023-2024 season.
He pointed out in his statement to ( Sudan Events) that the targeted area of wheat is 37,315 acres, while the cultivated areas amounted to 36,598 acres of wheat, while the size of the harvested areas amounted to 36,598 acres with an average productivity per acre of 7.8 sacks weighing 100 kg, so that the total production per sack amounted to 285,466 sacks of wheat and the total production per ton amounted to 28,546 tons.
The minister added that the White Nile State also achieved high wheat productivity in the 2023-2024 season, noting that the targeted area of wheat was 120,000 acres, while the cultivated areas amounted to 50,000 acres of wheat, and the harvested areas were estimated at 37 acres with an average productivity per acre of 13.1 per sack weighing 100 kg. He said that the total production per sack amounted to 484,700 sacks and the total production per ton was 48,470 tons.
Indicating that this productivity was achieved despite vast areas being flooded.
The minister revealed that the total production in the Gezira Scheme of wheat amounted to
4,123,700 sacks, while the total production per ton amounted to 412,370 tons, with an average productivity per acre of 7.13 sacks of 100 kg. Indicating that the targeted area of wheat for the 2023-2024 season was 450,000 acres, while the cultivated areas amounted to 320,000 acres of wheat and the harvested areas amounted to 310,000 acres, including Al-Manaqil 215,000 acres, Gezira 6,000 acres.
