SC Adopts Evidence provided by Sudan proving UAE involvement in war

Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday that the rotating presidency of the Security Council SC held by South Korea, had circulated a letter from Sudan’s permanent representative to the members of the Security Council, which included more evidence of UAE involvement in the war in Sudan, which doubles the volume of violations committed against the Sudanese people, and affirmed the adoption of the letter as a document of the Security Council.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Sudan’s representative to the United Nations UN criticized the silence of international organizations regarding the atrocities of the militia, affirming the government’s commitment to facilitating the delivery of aid and protecting civilians, and called for greater international support to address the worsening humanitarian conditions.
It added that the Security Council held an open meeting followed by consultations last Tuesday morning to listen to the UN Secretary-General’s periodic briefing on the situation in Sudan in light of the Council’s resolution 2715. Sudan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations UN Ambassador Al-Harith Idris, delivered Sudan’s statement before the meeting, condemning the armed attacks by the UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces RSF militias, noting that they target civilians, safe villages and cities and hinder the agricultural season, that increases the food gap and harms fragile sectors.
The statement highlighted the flow of UAE support to the militias through Chad, southern Libya and other areas, and affirmed that the militia attacks increase violations against civilians and the number of displaced persons and hinder agricultural production.
The statement reviewed the Sudanese government’s position on facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid, affirming its commitment to international law and human rights, and affirmed the protection of civilians and allowing humanitarian workers to reach those in need, provided that relief is brought in through the agreed crossings.
The statement indicated the government’s readiness to cease fire, provided that the Rapid Support Forces RSF militias abide by Jeddah Agreement.
The statement also addressed human rights violations and sexual violence committed by the Rapid Support RSF Militia, explaining the measures taken by the government to protect civilians and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid.
It also referred to the cooperation between the government and the United Nations UN to facilitate humanitarian work, calling for pressure on countries supporting the militia to stop arming, financing, recruiting mercenaries, and various forms of support.
