The African Union AU warned that Sudan is facing the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
The Head of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, affirmed that concerted pressure must be exerted on external parties that are fueling the conflict in Sudan by providing weapons to the warring parties.
In his report on the situation in Sudan before the African Peace and Security Council (APSC )Summit on Friday, Faki described the situation in Sudan as dangerous, and warned of the risk of genocide.
Faki said that the war in Sudan has caused the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, and exposes the lives of millions of civilians to the risk of starvation.
