Tension in South Darfur due to tribal conflict

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) affiliated with the United Nations UN revealed on Saturday that the situation in Al-Radom area in South Darfur state is tense due to the renewed conflict between the Habaniya and the Salamat.
The organization said, in a statement according to “Sudan Tribune”, that “tribal clashes between Salamat and Habaniya renewed on Thursday in the village of Samaseem in Al-Radom locality, where the situation remains tense and unpredictable.”
It reported that there is a large-scale displacement movement of the village’s residents to other locations within Al-Radom locality, stressing that it has not yet received estimates of the number of fleeing individuals.
It spoke of being informed of news indicating that there were casualties among civilians.
