Mining Company Resumes Works in 16 sites

Deputy Chairperson of the Mining Coordination Council in the Blue Nile Region, Abdul Ghani Daqis Khalifa, revealed the serious steps to resume the activity of the Advanced Mining Works Company in 16 sites in the Anqasana Mountains in Bau Governorate.

He stressed that the competent authorities in the Blue Nile Region have begun implementing the decisions of Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, Governor of the Blue Nile Region, the sponsor of mining, particularly Decision No. (4) of 2023, and making the necessary arrangements to make room for chromium companies to start production in the field of chromium.
Daqees inspected a number of markets accompanied by a number of department managers of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC)in the region, and directed to expedite the removal of the Yements factory for mining waste from the center of Deiring city and work on treating the effects of the waste. He also directed the opening of new markets in Khor Hassan and Qami in the Karen Karen administrative unit in Kurmuk Governorate and a number of factories in the Bakuri area, calling on citizens to unite and reject hate speech, mend the social fabric and encourage investment. Daqees confirmed that the specified percentages for social responsibility are ready and are being followed up by the governors of the governorates to ensure reaching their owners in service of community issues.
