Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Portugal national team, contributed to the “Sailors” reaching the final stage of the European Nations Cup, after topping Group F.
Portugal won the first two rounds of the European Championship, defeating the Czech Republic (2-1) and Turkey (3-0).
Ronaldo contributed to the victory over Turkey, by assisting the third goal for his teammate Bruno Fernandes, and Cristiano Ronaldo became the oldest player in the history of the Euro, providing an assist at the age of 39 years, 4 months and 17 days. The Don had achieved a historic record, as he became the player who made the most goals in the tournament with 8 assists equally with Czech Karl Poborski.
The Portuguese national team is preparing to face Georgia next Wednesday, at the end of the group stage of the European Championship.
