Sennar Pledges Producing Gold

The acting governor of Sennar, Tawfiq Mohamed Ali Abdullah, pledged to provide support to the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC)Limited, to produce minerals, achieve economic growth for local communities and increase national income, referring in this regard to meetings held with the Federal Minister of Minerals and the General Manager of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC) Limited.
While meeting (Tuesday) Director of the Office of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company ( SMRC) Limited, in Sennar State and Blue Nile Region, Mohamed Rahima Mohamed Abdul Sayed, which was concerned with discussing arrangements for opening the company’s offices in the state to extract minerals and enter the gold production phase, in the presence of the Security Committee and the acting Minister of Finance for Sennar state, Mahjoub Ahmed, the governor affirmed the importance of opening offices for the company in Sennar state to catch up with the gold-producing states and support the national economy at this stage that the country is going through.
For his part, the director of the company’s offices in Sennar state and Blue Nile Region, Mohamed Rahima, announced that Sennar state is one of the promising states in the field of minerals.
He explained that the meeting with the state governor discussed mechanisms to complete previous efforts, update the geological map, and open investment opportunities in the state.
He appreciated the support of the Sennar government for the company and its great interest in extracting the minerals that the state has in abundance to increase public revenues and contribute to supporting the Sudanese economy, achieving development, and extending services to citizens.
