Governor of Gezira Scheme Affirms the need to strengthen Agricultural partnerships with Egypt

Sudan’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Lt. Gen.Imad al-Din Mustafa Adawi, announced the mission’s support for all that to make the agricultural season a success and restore the Gezira Scheme to its former glory as one of the strategic schemes supporting the achievement of the desired agricultural development in the country.
For his part, Governor of the Gezira Scheme Ibrahim Mustafa affirmed the need to strengthen smart partnerships with sisterly Egypt in the agricultural field, and stressed while meeting the Sudanese Ambassador to Egypt, Lt. Gen.Engineer Imad al-Din Mustafa Adawi – in his office in Cairo (Wednesday)
the adoption of modern technologies as a means to bring about a renaissance and development of the Gezira Scheme.
The Governor of the Gezira Scheme provided a detailed explanation of the progress of the Gezira Scheme and the current needs in the context of preparing for the new agricultural season in light of the challenges facing the country.
The meeting affirmed the need for joint work to enhance the role of the Gezira Scheme and its contributions to grain production as a fundamental pillar in Sudan’s initiative to achieve Arab Food Security.
