Wide welcome for the launch of Financing Policy for Summer Season

Deputy President of the Rain-Fed Farmers Association, Ghariq Kambal, revealed the launch of the banks’ financing policy for the summer season 2024-2025, and considered it a positive step for farmers, indicating that it includes the price of the ladder of SDGs 35,000 per sack and the rest of the other details.
Ghariq explained in his statement to (Sudan Events ) that financing is now being done for diesel, as an agreement has been reached with some companies, including Nabta Company, and he confirmed the possibility of bank branches to provide other financing related to the ladder, and expressed his hope for the launch of the summer season on time, and considered it a good thing in terms of the country experiencing exceptional conditions due to the war.
Director of the Sudanese Agricultural Bank, Mohamed Adam Abdul Karim, affirmed that the bank encourages the use of technology in agricultural production, preserves the environment, provides food security locally and regionally, and develops exports and imports by financing cash crops in the winter and summer seasons, indicating that they have contact with Nabta Company to provide fuel.
For his part, the Minister of Energy and Oil, Mohi El-Din Al-Naiem, said that the agricultural season has come to a safe shore and its main components are available, and that it is the most well-prepared agricultural season despite the current circumstances, noting that they are working in harmony with all parties.
The Minister of Energy and Oil stated that there are companies qualified to import fuel in Sudan and that they, at the ministry, are presenting the needs to companies qualified to import, stressing that they provide fuel in the country at a rate exceeding “40%” at an appropriate time and in appropriate quantities. For his part, the Director of Nabta Company, Mahjoub Ahmed Abdel Qader, stated that national duty motivates them more than the desire to achieve profits.
