A huge fire broke out on Friday in “Moga” oil wells belonging to the Balila oil field in West Kordofan state due to a thunderbolt.
Eyewitness Bala Hassan said according to “Darfur 24” that at around 5 am a thunderbolt struck the “Moga” wells belonging to the Balila field in West Kordofan state.
He affirmed that the fire caused partial damage to the wells before the engineers closed the well valves due to the lack of means to extinguish the fire, and he said that the precautions taken by the engineers helped prevent major losses in the wells.
