Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, Ambassador Mohamed Khair Abdul Qadir, acknowledged that Sudan was unable to achieve a breakthrough in digital entrepreneurship projects.
He said in his interview to “Sudan Events “, “Unfortunately, Sudan has not achieved a breakthrough in the field of digital entrepreneurship, as general entrepreneurial projects for youth need an appropriate climate to provide support and investment, addition to appropriate legislation and stability in the country.”
He added, “It is difficult to achieve digital or non-digital entrepreneurship in light of the current war.”
The activities of the Arab Digital Entrepreneurship Map Conference and Exhibition, which was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, were unveiled, where several working papers were presented on encouraging investment in the fields of entrepreneurship, increasing the activation of the Arab Digital Entrepreneurship Map, and best practices, with the presentation of success stories in the field of entrepreneurship.
Ambassador Mohamed Khair pointed out that he presented during the meeting a working paper entitled “Data Economy and its Role in Strengthening Arab Economic Systems,” in which he reviewed the Arab vision for the digital economy prepared by the Union, which was welcomed by the Arab Summit in Algeria in November 2022 as a reference and regulatory framework for digital transformation in the economies of Arab countries, pointing to the most important projects of this vision, including the Arab Food Market Initiative, which aims to achieve food security in the Arab area.
