Sudan Events – Follow-ups
Large numbers of citizens of Sennar, Dinder and other areas have been displaced towards Gedarif, eastern Sudan, due to the fighting in Sinja , the capital of Sennar state.
The IDPs from Dinder who arrived in Gedarif told Sudan Tribune on Sunday that they “fled their homes afraid of the violations of the Rapid Support Forces RSF which are expected to invade the area at any time.”
They pointed out that more residents fled the city to its villages and to small towns in Gedarif state, such as Al-Hawata.
The IDPs from Sinja published photos and videos showing them fleeing on foot from the violence of the Rapid Support Forces RSF.
Activists circulated stories of families being separated due to displacement, as they published photos of children and elderly people whose relatives were searching for them.
