(IOM) : 55,000 people were displaced from Sinja due to the Fighting

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) announced the displacement of more than 55,000 people from the city of Sinja and the neighboring villages in Sennar state due to the clashes between the army and the Rapid Support RSF Militia.
The organization said in a statement that field teams reported that about 55,000 and 440 people were displaced from the city of Sinja and the neighboring villages, as well as from different locations in the areas of “Abu Hajar and Al-Dali” in Sennar state, due to increasing security concerns.
He explained that about 50,000 people were displaced to areas in Gedarif state, while 5,000 others were displaced to the city of Damazin in Blue Nile, and about 440 people were displaced to the city of Al-Jabalain in White Nile state.
The statement of the International Organization for Migration ( IOM) indicated that “the situation is still tense and unpredictable.”
