Recommendations for Developing mining in South Kordofan

The economic sector in South Kordofan State submitted recommendations to the state government’s Council of Ministers, including plans and programs to develop the mining sector and increase public revenues.
The sector meeting, which was held with the participation of the Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources (SMRC) Company Office in the state, Warsha Nasser Warsha, and chaired by the Minister of Finance, Imad al-Din Abdul Muttalib, Head of the Sector, discussed how to develop the sector’s revenues to meet government spending in the current fall period, during which the state suffers from a scarcity of revenues.
The Minister of Finance in South Kordofan state, Imad al-Din Abdul Muttalib, explained that they discussed in the meeting the possibility of developing mining revenues through the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources and the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (RSMC) pointing to the major roles played by the Mineral Resources Company (RSMC) in developing the mining sector, and revealed important recommendations for the meeting in the field of mining that will be submitted to the state government’s Council of Ministers, which will set a method for developing the mining sector there.
