Governor of Gedarif Calls for Attracting New Companies to increase revenues

Acting Governor of Gedarif, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, called for doubling efforts and increasing investment opportunities in the mining sector and attracting new companies to increase revenues, support the national economy, and achieve development and services for citizens.
He stressed during his meeting (Wednesday) with the Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC) Office in Gedarif state, Omar Malik Abu Sin, in the presence of the Director of the General Authority for Geological Research Office in the state, Geologist Khaled Al-Daw, providing all forms of support to the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company ( SMRC)and the Geological Research Authority to advance the mining sector in Gedarif state.
For his part, the Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company (SMRC) Office in Gedaref State, Omar Malik Abu Sin, revealed a plan to expand investments that includes securing markets, doubling efforts in environmental aspects, and following safety tools.
He discussed with the governor all issues related to mining activity in the state and ways to develop it to increase production and maximize public revenues, and Abu Sin provided a detailed briefing to the governor on the progress of work in mining activity during the previous period.
Abu Sin appreciated the high coordination with the state government, local security committees and auxiliary security agencies in implementing the ministry’s policies, pointing to the stability of work in the mining markets and the sites of companies operating in the state.
Abu Sin gave good news of the implementation of a number of social responsibility projects, as work is underway to sort out the bids, marking the beginning of their implementation.
