Official Procedures to stop Gold Exports to Dubai

Head of the Capital Markets Authority in Sudan, Dr. Shawqi Azmi, revealed that Sudan is taking official procedures to stop gold exports to the UAE and find alternative markets.
Azmi confirmed in his interview with (Sudan Events ) the possibility of stopping Sudanese gold exports to Dubai, and said that exports are linked to obtaining approvals that include the name of the exporting country.
In the same context, Secretary-General of the Goldsmiths Division and Union, Atef Ahmed, confirmed the difficulty of stopping gold exports to Dubai at the present time suddenly, and attributed this to the fact that financial transfers to Sudan are made from the Emirates only and find facilities, while they face complications from other countries, and Atef downplayed the existence of guarantees for the return of gold proceeds in the event of export to other markets.
