Minister of Transport Abu Bakr Abu Al-Qasim Abdullah revealed a difficult situation in transport sector due to the war and said that they are working on an emergency work program, indicating that the ministry is working with a limited number of employees, even the nine-unit ministry was affected by the war to maintain work despite the complex situations.
The Minister of Transport said in press statement in Port Sudan what we lost from war crimes is unbelievable, and despite that, he is working with what is available.
He explained that the Seaports Authority contributes greatly to supporting the country and supporting the State, and that their workers are unknown soldiers who work day and night.
The Minister of Transport decided on problems in the global transport market, but he revealed the development of seaports in terms of operation, links and bridge cranes.
Speaking about the railway, Minister of Transport Abu Bakr Abu Al-Qasim said that everyone knows the collapse that occurred in it.
He said that the western line, Kassala, Gedarif, Sennar, and Damazin, which connects Khartoum, is available but needs rehabilitation, and that they are returning the eastern line, affirming that the project is available to investors and the private sector inside and outside Sudan after the completion of all technical studies.
He said they have restarted Atbara-Abu Hamad-Halfa railway line.
