A huge fire broke out in the Sarkimto area in the Northern state affiliated with Halfa Administrative Unit, on (3500) palm trees bearing production in phases approaching the maturity period.
Civil Defense Serg. Bakhit Khalifa said, according to the “Official Spokesperson’s Platform”, that they were able to extinguish the fire and save the rest of the palm trees in the neighboring irrigation channels,
pointing out that the fire truck, after arriving in the area, faced difficulties in reaching the burning area due to the high ruggedness of the road due to the streams and agricultural acres and the lack of bridges or roads that would enable Arabs to enter the burning palm areas.
