Decline in Gold Export Revenues

The media secretary of the Sudanese Gold Traders and Exporters Division, Atef Ahmed, revealed a decline in productivity in the recent period, which led to a decline in gold export revenues, stressing the continuation of gold smuggling.
Atef expressed his happiness in his statement to (Sudan Events ) with the competent authorities’ commencement of implementing the single window for gold exports, noting that unifying the multiple windows for gold exports into one window was a basic requirement for exporters to reduce effort and facilitate procedures. He stressed the importance of the state’s interest in setting new policies for gold to ensure the return of export proceeds, and called on the government to encourage exports to stop the collapse of the Sudanese pound.
