Sudan Events – Nahid Oshi

The former Secretary-General of the Tax Authority, Dr. Abdul Qader Mohamed Ahmad, called for the formation of an independent national government of competencies for a transitional period that would carry out specific tasks.
He said, “There should be a government that cleanses State institutions of the fifth column, infiltrators, and corrupt people, and draws an economic roadmap for the demands of the war government.”
He added in his statement to “Sudan Events “, “It is necessary to provide the requirements of war, which are the needs of the armed forces SAF in terms of weapons, ammunition and supplies so that they can win, while providing basic services to citizens and enabling refugees to return to their homes to contribute to building the country and rebuilding what the war destroyed, particularly bridges, roads and State institutions.”
He stressed that the war destroyed the economy and human capital and halted production, adding, “Therefore, it is necessary to stop the deterioration of the economy before we turn into a failed State, with the necessity of restructuring banks to avoid imminent collapse, and above all, fighting corruption and stopping lavish government spending, and stopping official delegations from traveling, and in cases of extreme necessity, traveling in economy class.”
He affirmed the importance of reviewing Juba Agreement, and said, “The state of the economy will not improve except by reviewing Juba Agreement, which has robbed all our resources.”
